KIRD was established to enhance the efficiency and productivity of national R&D investment by providing education that supports the self-development of science and technology professionals and promotes change and innovation, as well as by conducting surveys and research to build an evidence base for policy and practice.
Developing and operating education programs to strengthen the competencies of science and technology professionals
Supporting career growth across the life cycle of science and technology professionals, and establishing and operating career development systems
Conducting surveys and research on science and technology human resource development and supporting government policy
Supporting communication and collaboration among science and technology professionals, as well as domestic and international network exchanges
Implementing science and technology human resource development projects delegated or entrusted by the government and other relevant authorities
Carrying out other human resource development projects necessary to promote science and technology
