Project Fostering and Supporting Specialized Experts in Science and Technology Policy-Related Field

  • Overview
    • - PurposeFostering experts in science and technology policy by supporting installation and operation of ‘Science and Technology Policy Course’ of graduate schools systematically researching science and technology policy
    • - SubjectUniversities(graduate schools) that opened or are to open departments related to science and technology policy
    • - Support period/sizeup to 6 years (3+3 years)/within 220 million won annually per university
    • - Promotion basisArticle 21 of the act on support of scientist and engineers (support regarding supply and demand program of scientist and engineer work force) Article 24 of the enforcement ordinance of the act on support of scientist and engineers
  • Support Details
    • - Supporting the selection, evaluation, and operation of science and technology policy majors
    • - Enhancing program diversity and excellence through curriculum specialization by graduate schools
    • - Strengthening international cooperation through academic and manpower exchanges with relevant organizations related to science and technology policy overseas
  • Supported universities : Seoul National University, Ajou University, Gyeongsang National University, Hanyang University (as of 2024)

Science and Technology Talent Development Consulting

  • Purpose
    • - To provide customized talent development consulting services to client institutions in order to establish workforce development strategies and systems and address HR challenges that are difficult to manage independently at research sites
  • Program
    • - (Target Institutions) Public research institutes and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the science and technology sector
    • - (Areas of Support) Support across five key areas, including career development systems, education and training systems, and organizational culture innovation
