KIRD to host a roundtable session at ASIP

In October, KIRD attended Asian Society for Innovation and Policy (ASIP) and held a roundtable session under the topic of 'Strategy for Training S&T (Science &Technology) Talents in New Technology·Industry Field' to address and discuss key issues.
Four speakers delivered their presentations:

- Talent nurturing policy of Africa in the areas of new technology and industry

- Prof. Youngha Chang SPRU of UK
- Talent nurturing policy of the UK in new technology and industry

- Dr. Changmo Sung National Science Challenges Support & Network of KAST
- Recommendations on nurturing of convergence talent in new technology and industry

- Dr. Byungkwan Park Fraunhofer Representative Office Korea
- Strategies to secure talent specializing in advanced technologies
After their presentations, KIRD chair professors including Moon Kil-joo, Han Sun-hwa, Yun Hye-on discussed on the strategies to foster talented individuals in S&T in the future and shared their opinions as observers.
The contents discussed through the roundtable will be shared and developed for KIRD's goal of 'nurture key S&T personnel with skills and capabilities to meet the challenges of the future.‘
