New MOU Status

KIRD signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the European-American Scientists and Engineers Association (EUKSEA) in November. The MOU was signed to strengthen the mentoring program and exchange ideas with European experts in the science and technology fields. By taking this opportunity, both parties plan to expand their collaboration in the areas of employment, entrepreneurship, joint workshops, and seminars.

As its first initiative, KIRD expanded its overseas mentor pool by including board members of European associations and researchers as K-Club’s mentors. It considers developing R&D competency-building programs for European graduates and postdocs.

In addition, KIRD signed a revised agreement with KIST Europe to facilitate cooperation in the areas of utilization of local networks as well as mutual consultation and collaboration for developing S&T talent development programs.

KIRD, with the aim of becoming the global hub for cultivating talents in science and technology, strives to take this opportunity to strengthen the human network with European scientists and engineers for various cooperative initiatives.
